Charles Wright

Owner at Chief's Art Gallery

MY BACKGROUND

I started to draw at the early age of around 5 or 6 years old, as soon as I was able to pick up a pencil my grandmother would buy me magazines or comic books for me to draw pictures out of. That was well over 40 years ago and I am still drawing to this day I'm a self-taught artist who's trying to learn every day and trying to make a living at it as well. So I draw pictures that I believe somebody would like to have hanging in their home, office, or wherever they might want to hang it up at.

MY MEDIUM

I currently work with graphite pencils and charcoal pencils I mainly stay with graphite though. I enjoy the way the shading  is done with these types of pencils and I can get the most realistic picture out of it. I am trying to learn how to do oil painting, acrylic painting, watercolor painting, and of course pastel both salt and hard. So those are a lot of  I got to learn how to do but in due time I will learn them and have them up on the website as well starting with the first of my new art career working his way on up to the top quality artwork.

MY INSPIRATION

I enjoy hiking in my spare time and many of my pieces are directly influenced by these hikes in nature. I love recreating plants and wildlife in my work. I'm very outdoor person who likes to play with his dog/loki either outside or inside, but I spent a lot of time drawing anywhere from six to eight even 12 hours most of our drawing anywhere from one month to approximately three to four months, I don't let it drawing go to the finish table or to be hung up in somebody's house until I am certain that that is all I can do to make it look as real as possible thank you for shopping and have a good day.
